{Styled Dessert 1st Birthday Picnic}

Happy Friday to you!!! What a gorgeous day here in San Diego! What are your plans for the weekend? I plan to relax and take in the sunshine :). Today, I have a delightfully sweet Styled Session for you! Meet cutie Leia and this is her First Birthday Picnic. What a fantastic and fun idea! When Maria (her mama) contacted me for a Dessert themed Picnic to celebrate her daughters First Birthday... I was all about it! Leia was all smiles and cuteness! Isn't she just adorable!? I am completely smitten with this little bundle of happiness! They loved all the goodies and thoughtful details we put into this Styled Session that was handmade with love for Leia!

Love love love this family! We had so much fun watching Leia dig into her cake! I wish I could do that sometimes...maybe I will at my next birthday...watch out! :) Styled Sessions are such a lovely way to add  a little extra detail to your session.
Thanks to Maria and Brent  for all the support and smiles! You two are just gorgeous!!

Styled by: Natalie Bray

{My friend the Sock Monkey}

So what are your plans for the weekend? Margaritas on the beach perhaps, a little sleepy time, or maybe spend some time with your Dad. I've got a family session and some fun stuff planned for Parker's birthday! wooo hoo! As I looked at this photo it reminded me that life can sometimes throw us some shenanigans that are fun, sometimes not so much, but all along we can turn to our family and friends for support, love, and some good old belly laughs...
I had a family session recently at the beach and the little girl looooooved her friend the Sock Monkey and as she hugged and held her buddy. I was struck with tenderness and thankfulness...
May life bring you your Sock Monkey :)
Plus, I wish all you Dad's out there an amazing Father's Day!!!!!

{Balboa Park Family Photographer} Preview

Hello to you! How has your week been? Yesterday, I had an "UP" inspired Kids Session and was worried about rain, but happily smiled and did a happy dance as the sun broke through the clouds to reveal a gorgeous San Diego day.
On another note...I love Balboa Park and was elated when the lovely Endemann Family wanted to have their family session there! Here is a one of my favorites from the day...
Love this family! More photos to come soon...
Happy Thursday!

{Sloan's First Birthday} San Diego Portrait Photographer

I hope you had a fantastic weekend! What did you do? What adventures did you have?
Mine was uneventful, but suuuuper relaxing, which was just what I needed. I stayed up super late, like I was in high school again, slept in until 11am everyday. After my husband and I woke up we read on our laptops til we were hungry (which didn't take long), then went to a delicious lunch at the Silk Road Cafe and after the food coma ensued... I decided to take another nap... Sooooo great!
But on to the lovely Plonka Family! I absolutely adore this family!
They are incredibly kind, fun, and just plain amazing :)...
They asked me to take photos of their daughter Sloan's First Birthday, which was Lady Bug themed (too cute), then we had a mini family session before the party...
These are a few of my favorites...

I love that the whole family is looking at the birthday girl :)
Momma and daughter...love this! I melt!
Cutie pattootie with those gorgeous brown eyes...
Pierce is Sloan's older brother and he is a big bunch of cuteness...he was pretending to fish:)
up up and away...
"I love walking!!"
Dad and his birthday girl...
When I said Lady Bug themed...I wasn't exaggerating... Real lady bugs were there to fly. The kids flipped for this idea...
Brother and Sister...
 One of my favorites of the day...
he was sooooo happy telling me the story about Winnie The Poo and his honey, while eating one of the incredible lady bug cupcakes :) Isn't that sweet?
 Amazing right!?
And a lady bug cake...genius!
Happy 1st Birthday Sloan!!
There are lots more photos on our facebook page...
 if you like our work, then show some love and like our page :)...We absolutely love meeting new people and making friends...maybe we could get some ice cream sometime...I love food, sweets especially!
